Appeal Following Fatal Collision on A66

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a 32-year-old man sadly died on the A66 last Thursday, 3rd March.

The collision happened at around 7.40am, approximately 150 metres east of the Long Newton Intersection at Stockton.

Sadly, 32-year-old Andrew Conden from Darlington passed away at the scene following the incident. His parents later released a tribute to their “much loved son” and said they had been left “devastated” by his death.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses that would have seen the red Citroen C3 which Andrew was driving prior to the collision, heading westbound towards Darlington.

Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Lee Benson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 38498.
