Appeal for Witnesses Following Attempted Robbery on Dog Walker in Hartlepool

Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery occurred at Hart Cemetery on Hart Lane in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred at around 11:30am on Thursday 5th May when a 31-year-old man was out walking his dog when he was approached by a man who had pepper spray and demanded the victim to hand over his dog.

Fortunately the victim refused and managed to knock the pepper spray out of the suspect’s hands and the suspect ran off towards the Hart Lane area.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his early twenties, of medium build with messy brown hair.
