Appeal Following a Single Vehicle Collision on the A66 Eastbound

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision which occurred on Friday 27th May at around 11:40am on the A66 Eastbound close to the Sadberge on-slip in Long Newton, Stockton.

The incident involved one vehicle, a Renault Clio which collided with a safety barrier.

The 39-year-old male driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle without a license or insurance and for being under the influence of drugs. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 40-year-old female passenger travelling in the same vehicle was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital, where she was treated for suspected concussion and whiplash.
