Appeal for Witnesses Following Incident on Thackeray Grove in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after an inappropriate comment was made to a 13-year-old boy on Thackeray Grove in the Mill Hill area of Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred between 11:30am-11:40am on Friday 3rd June, when a man approached the boy and made an inappropriate comment towards him.

A female dog walker intervened by shouting over to the boy and the man cycled off.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, of skinny build, around 6 ft tall with brown hair and of pale complexion. He was wearing a grey Adidas “three stripe” tracksuit with pale blue stripes, a white beanie hat and white Reebok trainers (the right trainer had a loose sole). He was riding a black men’s mountain bike and was carrying a back pack which was blue and purple in colour with the “HOT TUNA” logo on it.
