Appeal For Witnesses Following a Serious Assault Outside The Red Lion Pub, Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 58-year-old man was assaulted outside The Red Lion Pub on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred on Saturday 11th June at around 11:30pm when it is believed the suspect was being threatening towards the victim inside the pub and stole his reading glasses and ran outside.

Once the victim was outside he was attacked by the suspect and his leg was broken in three places and his lip was swollen and cut.

The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he had surgery on his leg.
