Suspected Drugs Recovered from Edwards Street in Stockton

Warrants were executed at three properties under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Edwards Street in Stockton this morning, Friday 1st July.

A substantial amount of suspected class A drugs were seized along with a large quantity of cash.

A 45-year-old man from the Stockton area was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and is currently in custody.

A 34-year-old man from the Stockton area has been arrested and charged with possession of class A drugs and will appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday 13th July.

Acting Inspector Darren Bainbridge from Stockton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We have seized a substantial amount of suspected class A drugs and money today.  The suspected drugs we have seized could have caused serious harm within the local community and it is a relief that these substances are no longer heading for the streets.

“We would always encourage anyone with intelligence regarding drugs activity to contact police. Please contact us if you have any information which could assist us in taking drugs off the streets. Drugs activity can blight communities and for some can make their lives a misery.”
