35-Year-Old Man Robbed in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a 35-year-old man was robbed near to George Street in Thornaby.

The incident occurred on Saturday 21st May at around 4:30am when a man approached the victim from behind and stole cash and a grey Samsung S5. The phone was damaged at the time when it was stolen, and so may be easy to identify - the bottom right hand button of the phone is smashed, has two cracks in it and the phone has ALFY inscribed on the back.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his 30s, around 5 ft 9” tall, of slim build and he was wearing grey/black Reebok classic trainers, a blue Henley’s hooded top with Henley in white writing across the chest, blue Henley bottoms with Henley in white writing across the left thigh and he was also wearing a dark grey snood.

The suspect made off towards Thornaby Road after the robbery.
