Appeal for Witnesses Following a Collision with a Vehicle and a 9-Year-Old Boy

Police are appealing for information after a white Land Rover Discovery and a 9-year-old boy collided on The Wynd in Wynyard.

The incident occurred on Monday 22nd August at 6:50pm.

As a result of the collision the boy was taken to James Cook University Hospital with head injuries, a fractured wrist and hip and cuts to the face which require stitches.

He remains in James Cook recovering from his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
The 41-year-old male driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene for driving offences and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
