Appeal for Witnesses to Attempted Robbery in Normanby

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in which the victim was punched in the face.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm-6.45pm on Wednesday 7th September on Ormesby Road in Normanby.

The 22-year-old male victim was walking from Normanby towards Spencerbeck and took the footpath that runs along the side of the road. He was listening to music through headphones when he was approached by a male who pulled at the headphones in order to take the phone. The suspect then punched the victim in the face and made off.

The suspect is described as a white male, of medium build, around 6ft 2” tall with brown eyebrows and green/blue eyes. He was wearing a black puffa jacket with the hood up and it was zipped up to obscure the bottom half of his face, grey Adidas jogging bottoms and black footwear.
