Appeal to Trace Good Samaritan Following Assault on Three Women in Stockton

Officers are appealing to trace a Good Samaritan who intervened as three women were assaulted in Stockton.

The incident happened at around 5pm on Friday 9th September on Stockton High Street, close to the junction with Ramsgate.

The three women were attacked by a man. One of the women, aged 49, suffered a laceration to her cheek which is believed to have been caused by a sharp, bladed item.

A 22-year-old woman suffered deep scratches to her neck and cuts to her heard and another woman, aged 54, was headbutted to the face, causing cuts to her head and she was also bitten on her finger.

As the attack was ongoing, a male intervened twice and tried to keep the suspect from injuring the women further. Police would like to speak to this man as it is believed that he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

A 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault and both have been bailed pending further enquiries.
