E-Fit Released Following Burglary in Middlesbrough

Police are releasing an E-fit of a man that they would like to trace following a burglary in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened at around 1.15am on Sunday 7th August when a man entered a home on Chestnut Drive and was challenged by the occupant who had heard him.

The intruder then made off on to Cypress Road empty handed.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged around 28 years old, of slim or athletic build, 5ft 9” – 5ft 10” tall with dark brown hair.

He had a very short hair on the sides and longer on the top. The man is also described as having a square shaped face.

It is believed that they intruder may have had an accomplice called ‘Jonny’.

Officers would like to speak to the man in the E-fit as it is believed that he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Louise Sproson, from Middlesbrough Volume Crime Team, said: “To disturb an intruder in your own home is very unnerving and distressing. We are issuing the E-fit as part of our ongoing investigation and I would ask anyone who may have information about this incident or the person in the E-fit to contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously.”
