Appeal for a Woman to Come Forward Following a Reported Sexual Assault in Stockton

Detectives investigating an allegation of a sexual assault at a bus stop are appealing for a woman to come forward as she may be able to assist with enquiries.

The incident was reported to have taken place at around 9pm on Wednesday 21st September 2016 at a bus stop on the High Street in Stockton (in the vicinity of McColl’s news shop).

It is believed at the time of the incident a woman, described as being around 45-years-old, was standing at the bus stop. This woman had also spoken with the victim beforehand however she did not get on the X10 bus with the victim.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged and remanded to Teesside Magistrates Court for two accounts of sexual assault.
