Appeal for Witnesses after a Suspected Stolen Vehicle Crashed into a Garden Wall

Police are appealing for information after a suspected stolen vehicle collided with a garden wall on Wynyard Road in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred on Saturday 8th October at 10pm when a Volkswagen Golf collided with a wall in the front garden of a property.

As a result of the collision, the impact of the car hitting the wall caused bricks to smash through the front window of the property next door which injured the occupant who was inside.

The 57-year-old male occupant of the property was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees with an injury to his knee.

The occupants of the Golf made off from the scene and officers would like them to come forward.

One of the men who fled the scene was described as wearing a white vest with heavily tattooed arms.

Anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the collision, witnessed the collision itself or anyone who may know the identity of the occupants of the vehicle is asked to contact PC William Parker of the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on 101, quoting Event 184783.
