Appeal for Driver and Witnesses to Come Forward Following a Collision on Mattison Avenue in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for the driver of a vehicle to come forward after a collision on Mattison Avenue in Middlesbrough.

The collision involved a large vehicle (light in colour) and a cyclist. It happened on Thursday 22nd September between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.

Following the collision, the 39-year-old male cyclist was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for a broken collar bone.

At the time of the incident a man who was wearing dark clothing approached the cyclist and offered to help. Police would like to speak with this man as he may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene and officers would appeal for that driver to come forward.
