Appeal for Witnesses Following Armed Robbery in Hemlington

Police are appealing for information after an alleged armed robbery occurred at the One Stop Shop in The Viewly Centre in Hemlington.

The alleged incident occurred on Sunday 16th October at around 10:45pm when two men entered the store and threatened a member of staff with a knife and demanded cash.

One of the men was wearing a balaclava and both men left the shop with £300 cash from the till.

Two men aged 26 and 36 have been charged with robbery and they have been remanded in custody awaiting a court appearance on Friday 18th November.
