Appeal for Witnesses Following an Attempted Robbery in Stockton

Police are appealing for information after a 31-year-old man was victim to an attempted robbery in Stockton.

The incident occurred yesterday, Sunday 23rd October, at around 6:40am when the victim was walking along Londonderry Road in Stockton towards the junction of Durham Road.

Once the victim reached Durham Road, he was approached by a man with a knife who demanded his phone.

The victim managed to fend off the suspect and he then fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s, around 6 ft 2” inches tall, of very slim build and he had scratches on his face. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with writing on it and he had the hood up over his head and was carrying a shopping bag.
