36-Year-Old Assaulted by Group of Youths in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a 36-year-old man was assaulted whilst walking his dog outside the Thornaby Pavilion Shopping Centre.

The incident occurred on Saturday 17th December at 12:50am when the victim was approached by 8-12 youths who assaulted him.

The youths are described as being between 16-17-years-old and one of the males is described as being white, of pale complexion, around 17-years-old, of slim build with blond spiky hair and around 5 ft 9” tall and was wearing a blue puffer jacket. Another male is described as being white, of medium build, 17-years-old, around 5 ft 7” tall, with short brown hair and was wearing a red top.

The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for a broken jaw.
