Warning after Reports of Woman Targeting Elderly Victims for Cash, Middlesbrough

Police are warning of a woman attending addresses in the Pallister Park and Berwick Hills areas of Middlesbrough, who has been reportedly scamming elderly victims out of cash...

which she claims is to pay for electricity for her family.

On one occasion the woman managed to exchange £4.60 for £20 from an elderly victim. She ran off when given the money.

The suspect is described as a white female, aged in her late twenties to early thirties, of medium build.

At an incident on Sunday 1st January on Homerton Road, she was seen wearing a colourful woolly hat, a hooded khaki jacket and jeans.
