53-Year-Old Man Assaulted on Ramsgate in Stockton

Police are appealing for information after a 53-year-old man was assaulted in an unprovoked attack near to the Reindeer Pub on Ramsgate in Stockton.


The incident occurred at 7:30pm on Tuesday 27th December when the victim was approached by an unknown man who asked the victim for a cigarette lighter.

The suspect then punched the victim in the face and made off in the direction of West Row. It is believed he made off in the company of two other men who officers would like to speak with as they may be able to assist with enquiries. 

Following the attack, the victim was treated at the University Hospital of North Tees where he was treated for a fractured eye socket and a fractured cheek bone.
