Man Assaulted During an Attempted Robbery In Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 32-year-old man was assaulted during an attempted robbery on Haddon Street in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred between 1pm and 2:25pm on Sunday 26th February when the victim was approached by two men who threatened him, asked him to hand over his phone and assaulted him using a sharp implement.

As a result of the attack, the victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for serious facial injuries.

One of the suspects is described as a white male and around 5 ft 7” tall and the second male is described as being of mixed race with short, dark hair. Both of them were wearing dark clothing.

The victim’s phone was not stolen in the incident.
