Man Dies Following A174 Collision, Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in the early hours of this morning in which a man sadly died.

The collision took place at around 4.15am on Monday 13th March on the A174 westbound in Middlesbrough, approximately 200 metres west of A1044 Low Lane intersection.

A male pedestrian, believed to be aged in his thirties, sadly died at the scene following the collision with a Skoda Fabia.
Officers closed the road this morning whilst enquiries were conducted.

Any witnesses to the collision or who observed a male pedestrian at this location or anyone with dash cam footage who was in the area around the time of the collision is asked to contact PC Paul Hardwick from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 042575.
