Elderly Woman Targeted at Bus Stop in Stockton

Police are appealing for information after four males targeted a lone elderly woman at a bus stop in Stockton.

The four males approached the 71-year-old woman at a bus stop near to Marks and Spencers on Stockton High Street at around 8.10pm on Saturday 11th March.

They engaged her in conversation before one of the males grabbed her bag and stole £65 from the purse inside before another of the group threatened the woman with violence.

All four then made off in the direction of Maxwell’s Corner.

The first suspect is described as a white male, aged in his late thirties, around 6ft 1”, of medium build with short, black hair and wearing a black and white tracksuit top, black tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers.

The second suspect is described as a white male, aged in his early twenties, around 5ft 7” tall, of thin build with short, fair hair, a spotty complexion wearing a blue jumper with a blue jumper with white T-shirt underneath, blue jeans and black shoes.

The other two suspects are described as white, aged in their early twenties, around 5ft 6” tall and of very skinny build.
