Appeal for Witnesses to Serious Assault, Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information to a serious assault in Middlesbrough which happened on Friday 24th March.

The 56-year-old male victim was outside The Pig Iron on Corporation Road at around 8.50pm when an altercation took place with another man.

The victim was punched several times in the head and kicked to the face, leaving him with a serious injury to his eye.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where he remains receiving treatment.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his late forties and he was wearing jeans and a white top.

It is believed that a number of people were in the area at the time.
