Appeal Following Robbery at The Premier Store in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at The Premier Store on Kings Road in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough.

The incident happened at around 5.15pm yesterday, Monday 24th April.

Two males approached the store from the direction of Derwent Street and entered the store, both armed with sharp implements, before attempting to steal the till. The men made off with hundreds of pounds in cash, leaving the staff in the store uninjured but shaken.

The first suspect is described as a white male, aged in his early twenties, around 5ft 9” tall, of medium build, wearing a green hooded top with a zip, black tracksuit bottoms with a stripe, black trainers, a dark cap, and black scarf or snood around his face.

The second suspect is described as a white male, aged in his early twenties, around 5ft 7” tall, of slightly bigger build than the first suspect, wearing a black cap, a black scarf or snood covering his face, a blue jacket, blue jeans and black trainers.

Officers believe that there were a number of people in the area around the time of the incident and would ask anyone who may have information to contact them.
