Alleged Attempt Robbery in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after an alleged attempted robbery occurred on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough (near to the junction of Southfield Road and Princes Road).

The reported incident occurred at 9:45pm on Thursday 4th May when the 64-year-old male victim was allegedly approached by two people who tried to steal his watch.

A 28-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and were released with no bail conditions pending further enquiries.

It is believed at the time of the incident, three men in a dark coloured car stopped to help the victim and officers would like the men to come forward as they may be able to assist with enquiries.
