Taxi Driver Robbed at Knifepoint in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 21-year-old male taxi driver was robbed at knife point in his car on Marton Grove Road in Middlesbrough after travelling from Kindersley Street in North Ormesby.

The man travelling in the silver Skoda Octavia threatened the driver with a knife which he had pulled out from his jacket pocket and asked him to hand over money.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. £80 was handed over as well as a gold Samsung S6 mobile phone.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 5 ft 4” tall, of skinny build with short light brown hair and he was wearing a beige or light brown coloured top.
