Re-Appeal for Witnesses Following Serious collision in Hartlepool

Police are re-appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision on Skelton Street in Hartlepool on Monday 15th May at 3:45pm.

The collision reportedly involved a blue Ford Focus and three pedestrians. A 12-year-old girl received minor injuries, a second 12-year-old girl was taken to North Tees Hospital with a suspected broken leg and an 11-year-old girl was taken to James Cook University Hospital by air ambulance with serious head injuries.

A 46 year old man was arrested in connection with the collision and has been released with no bail conditions pending further enquiries.

The 11 year old girl who sustained serious head injuries still remains in hospital and she is in a stable condition.
