Appeal to Trace Good Samaritan Following Collision, Liverton Village

Police are appealing to trace a good Samaritan who offered a lift home to a woman following a collision just outside of Liverton Village on the B1366.

The collision happened at around 11pm on Saturday 3rd June. Officers would like to speak to the female good Samaritan who gave the driver a lift as she may have information which could assist their investigation.

Earlier in the evening, a man who had witnessed the woman getting behind the wheel attempted to intervene as the car was moving. He was left with a broken heel bone, laceration to scalp and abrasions. He was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

A 39-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and driving offences. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police would ask the good Samaritan to get in touch by calling Detective Constable Perri Monaghan on 101.
