Appeal for Information after Man is Injured by Intruder, Skelton

Police are appealing for information after a man was injured after being confronted by an intruder in a property.

The incident happened on Saltburn Lane in Skelton at around midnight last night, Thursday 15th June into Friday 16th June.

The suspect attacked the 67-year-old male victim with an unknown implement, and the victim was left with minor injuries to his face and arms.

The victim did not seek medical assistance and the suspect made off on foot empty handed on to Saltburn Lane and then on to the High Street.

Police believe that the suspect may have suffered facial injuries during the incident. He is described as being 6ft tall, of slim build, around 17 to 18 years old and was wearing a hip-length camouflage jacket – possibly a wax jacket style with a hood and light coloured trainers.
