Appeal Following Incident on Claxton Close, Stockton

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident during which a 12-year-old girl was approached by a man and grabbed.

The girl was making her way along Claxton Close at around 8am this morning, Tuesday 18th July, when she saw a man stood near a gate at the beginning of the cycle path which leads to Darlington Lane. She continued walking, however, the man grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the cycle path.
As some other children approached, the man let go of the girl and walked away up the cycle path towards Darlington Lane.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his late forties, of large build, short, with a full beard and wearing a plain grey T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.
