Appeal after Man is Assaulted in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a 45-year-old man was assaulted in Thornaby.

The incident happened at around 10pm on Tuesday 15th August on Lancaster Way.

The victim was approached by two men, who set upon him, causing him to fall to the ground. He then sustained kicks and blows to his body and a stab wound to his abdomen.

He was treated at the University Hospital of North Tees before being discharged.
The first suspect is described as a white male, aged in his early twenties, 5ft 10” tall, of skinny build, wearing a dark coloured tracksuit, with the bottoms tucked into red socks. His face was covered with a scarf.

The second suspect is described as white male, aged in his early twenties, 5ft 10” tall, of skinny build, wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a grey hooded top.
