Officers Appeal for Witnesses Following Collision in Normanby

Police are appealing for witnesses after a silver Kia Soul and a black Vauxhall Zafira collided on West Street prior to the junction with Hollywalk Avenue in Normanby, Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred on Friday 8th September at 1pm.

As a result of the collision, the 59-year-old driver of the Kia was taken to James Cook University hospital where he was treated for a hip injury.

Three passengers from the Vauxhall were also taken to James Cook University Hospital, a 4-year-old girl was kept in overnight for observation, a 6-year-old boy received treatment for bruising and swelling to the face and a 9-year-old boy received treatment for a cut to his head.

The 35-year-old driver of the Vauxhall was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and has been released under investigation.
