Burglary Victim Reunited with Stolen Laptop

Police investigating a burglary were able to return a laptop to a grateful university student after their enquiries resulted in its recovery.

A burglary happened between 7.30pm and 8pm on Sunday 5th November at a property on Trinity Mews in the Bousfield area of Stockton.

The suspects stole a Samsung laptop, an Apple Macbook, an Olympus voice recorder, a purple Dyson vacuum cleaner, a black bag containing coursework and a pink Casio calculator.

On Monday 6th November police located the suspected stolen Apple Macbook at an address in the Portack area of Stockton. It was then returned to its owner.

Three males aged 16,17 and 19 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and they have been released under investigation.

Investigating officer, DC Anthony Wraith, said: “We were happy to be able to reunite the Macbook with its owner as it contained a lot of coursework.

“I would like to appeal for any witnesses to the burglary or anyone who may have been offered for sale the stolen items to get in touch.”
