Appeal Following Attempted Robbery in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a man was threatened at the site of a new fire station building in Thornaby.

The attempted robbery happened at around 12.35am on Thursday 26th October at the building site compound on Millbank Lane.

Two males approached the 36-year-old victim before threatening him with a large hunting knife. Within seconds the two men made off empty handed along Millbank Lane. The victim was uninjured.

Both suspects are described as white males, dressed in dark clothing with their hoods up concealing their faces. One of the suspects was around 5ft 10” tall and the other was 6ft tall.
