17-Year-Old Male Robbed in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 17-year-old male was robbed at the junction of Roman Road and Burlam Road in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 14th November at 7:20pm when the man was approached by two males on bikes. One of the males threatened the victim with a screwdriver and pulled him to the ground and the second male assaulted the victim by hitting him in the back with what was believed to be a crow bar.

The two males then took the victim’s car keys and rose gold iPhone.

One of the males is described as being white, around 6 ft 2” tall, of slim build with ginger messy facial hair and he was wearing a cream hooded top.

The second male is described as being white, around 5 ft 10” tall, of medium build and he was wearing a grey Adidas hooded top.

Both of the males had their hooded pulled up tight over their faces and made off in the direction of St Barnabus Road following the incident.

The victim suffered minor back injuries and received treatment at James Cook University Hospital and was later released.
