Crime Prevention Christmas ‘Pop Up Shops’

This week the Crime Prevention Team will be launching their ‘Jingle Bells’ campaign by hosting four ‘pop up shops’. The team will be handing out purse bells and providing crime prevention advice. This will be to ensure that people are extra safe throughout the festive season.

At each event, purse bells will be handed out which are designed to be attached to your purse to deter thieves. Leaflets featuring safety tips and advice on how to stay safe this Christmas when at home, shopping or partying will also be issued.

The first crime prevention event will take place at the Hill Street Centre in Middlesbrough near to the Krispy Crème stand on Friday 1st December between 11am-1pm. Crime Prevention Officers Ryan Davey and Pete Ridley will be in attendance.

The second event, will be held at Asda in Marina Way in Hartlepool on Monday 4th December between 11am-1pm. Crime Prevention Officers Ryan Davey and Steve Cranston will be there.

For the third event, this will be held at Tesco on West Dyke Road in Redcar on Tuesday 5th December between 11am-1pm and Crime Prevention Officers Ryan Davey and Paul Payne will be available to hand out the purse bells and leaflets.

The final pop up shop will be held at Tesco on Durham Road in Stockton on Wednesday 6th December between 11am-1pm. Crime Prevention Officers Ryan Davey and Kelly Close will be in attendance.
