Two Attempted Robberies and a Burglary on Broughton Avenue in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a man attempted to carry out two robberies at Sainsbury’s and Martins McColl’s Shop, both on Broughton Avenue in Middlesbrough.

The incidents occurred on Friday 15th December between 7:20am and 7:30am.

It is believed the same man then broke into The Viking Hotel on the same street at around 7:30am and over £100 was taken.

The man believed to be responsible is described as being a late teen or in his early 20s, of slim build, around 5 ft 5” – 5 ft 6” tall and he was wearing a dark coloured hoodie which was tied tight around his face, dark trainers and dark tracksuit bottoms which had diagonal stripes on the back of them.
