Appeal after Man is Injured in Robbery in Eston

Police are appealing for information after a man was injured in a robbery in Eston.

The 47-year-old male victim was approached at around 2.40pm on Monday 18th December as he rode his bike near to SS Castle on Eston Hills.

Three suspects attempted to steal his mountain bike before punching him in the face and stabbing him in the stomach. The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital. He suffered minor injuries and was released from hospital.

The suspects are described as white males, of gaunt appearance and all aged in their twenties with short, dark hair. Two were wearing grey tracksuits and one was wearing a black tracksuit.

One of the suspects may have suffered an injured jaw during the incident.
