Police Appeal for Witnesses to Serious Assault in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Middlesbrough in the early hours of Saturday 23rd December.

Officers received a report of a man being hit in the face with a glass in TS One on Linthorpe Road between 1.10am and 1.20am.

A 52-year-old man suffered a significant eye injury, which could potentially mean that he will never regain his sight in that eye. The man has undergone surgery and has been released from hospital.

The suspect is described as male, of slim build, around 6ft tall, with brown hair and aged between 20-25 years old. He made off towards Wilton Street.
