Man Robbed in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a 42-year-old man was threatened with a knife and robbed on Peel Street, towards the Westbury area of Thornaby.

The incident occurred yesterday, Thursday 4th January at around 6:50pm when the victim was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife and told the victim to hand over his money.

He then went through the victims pockets and took a wallet which contained various cards and £55. He then made off towards the Cobden Street area in the direction of the new build houses.

The man responsible is described as being a white male, around 6 ft tall with blonde hair and he appeared gaunt and very thin. He was wearing a dark blue coat and dark tracksuit bottoms with stripes down the side.
