Serious Collision Yarm Back Lane

Police are appealing for information after a collision involving a black Seat Ibiza and a black Renault Megane occurred on Yarm Back Lane in Stockton (500m from the junction of Darlington Road).

The collision occurred at 7:55pm yesterday, Sunday 15th April.

As a result of the collision, the driver and two passengers from the Seat Ibiza were injured. The 19-year-old male driver was kept in overnight at James Cook University Hospital for less serious injuries.

The 29-year-old male passenger was taken to the same hospital where he is being treated for chest and spinal injuries. The 22-year-old female passenger was also taken to the same hospital where she is being treated for injuries to her shoulder and arm.

The 19-year-old driver of the Renault Megane was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation.
