Chickens Killed Following Break In at Allotment

Police are appealing for information after a burglary to an allotment during which two chickens were killed and another was injured.

The burglary happened at an allotment on Saltersgill Avenue in Middlesbrough between 7.30pm on Thursday 26th April and 7.30am on Friday 27th April.

Police Constable Andy Hampson said: “This is a despicable act of cruelty towards three defenceless chickens, two of which have been killed. The chickens belong to three young children who have been left distraught by what has happened and officers would appeal for anyone with information regarding those responsible to get in touch.”
