Man Assaulted on Thornaby Road in Thornaby

Police are appealing for information after a 26-year-old man was assaulted whilst riding his motorbike on Thornaby Road (approaching the swimming baths).

The incident occurred on Tuesday 29th May at around 3:30pm when the victim rode past a group of around 20 youths near to the houses prior to the junction with Lanehouse Road when one of them threw a brick which hit him on the head.

The victim did not sustain any injuries as he was wearing a helmet. The youths made off along Thornaby road towards The Old Fellows pub following the assault.
It is believed the youth responsible was the tallest of the group and he was of slim build and was wearing a dark tracksuit.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information regarding the youth responsible to contact PC Deb Poole Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 095892.
