75 Year Old Man Robbed in Stockton

Police are appealing for information after a 75-year-old man was robbed as he turned into the alleyway towards Westcott Street (from Church Yard in the direction of Trinity Street) in Stockton.

The incident occurred on Saturday 26th May at around 12:30pm when two men and one woman approached the victim.

Two of the people held the victim down on the ground whilst the third person went through his pockets and took a ring from his finger.

The ring is a gold Turkish ring and the victim’s bank card, a Samsung mobile phone and a dark coloured leather watch was also taken. As a result of the robbery the victim suffered minor cuts and bruises to his arms. The stolen bank card was then used several times in a local shop.

One of the suspects is described as being a white male, around 5 ft 6” tall and he was wearing all dark clothing and the lower part of his face was covered.

The second man is also described as being a white male, around 6 ft tall and he was carrying a torch and had a small dog with him which had a distinctive flashing collar.

The woman is a white female, of slim build and around 5 ft 4” tall and she was carrying a small carrier bag.
