Police Appeal for Witnesses after Assault on Redcar Sea Front

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Redcar in which an 18-year-old man was assaulted.

The incident happened sometime between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday 25th August on Redcar sea front.

The vulnerable victim was approached by a group of around twenty youths, both male and female, aged between 13 and 16 years old.

The group were verbally abusive towards him and kicked him to the knee, causing him to fall to the ground.

A member of the public stepped in to assist the victim, as the group are believed to have been encouraging the assault.

Two unknown females are also believed to have assisted the victim by calling him a taxi to get home.
