Four Men Arrested and Suspected Drugs Recovered after Car is Stopped

Four men have been arrested in connection with drugs offences after a car they were travelling in was stopped by police in Stockton.

Officers saw a silver Ford Fiesta and were concerned at the manner of driving, so stopped the vehicle on Yarm Road in Stockton at around 11.55pm last night (Wednesday 27th March).

Police carried out a roadside drugs test on the driver, a 21-year-old man from the Ingleby Barwick area, who was then arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Three other men who were travelling in the vehicle were also arrested after suspected cannabis was recovered.

A 20-year-old man from the Thornaby area was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug, possession of a class A drug and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

A 21-year-old man from the Ingleby Barwick area and a 22-year-old man from the Stockton area were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

All four men remain in police custody at this time.
