Appeal to Trace Victim of Reported Rape

Police are appealing for a victim to come forward after door staff from Liquor Vaults on Zetland Road in Middlesbrough reported that a woman had been raped.

Police are appealing for a victim to come forward after door staff from Liquor Vaults on Zetland Road in Middlesbrough reported that a woman had been raped.

A woman approached door staff on Saturday 13th April at 11:30pm and informed them she had been raped. It is not known where the rape took place.

The woman was advised to go inside the bar whilst the staff contacted police but the woman left without leaving her contact details.

Officers are concerned for the woman’s welfare and are asking the woman to get in touch with police. Incidents of this nature are dealt with in the strictest confidence and specially trained officers will be available to offer support.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting event number 061848.
