Rachel Wilson – Fourteen Years On

As the 14th anniversary of Rachel Wilson’s disappearance approaches, Cleveland Police continues to investigate her murder.

The last sighting of Rachel is on CCTV footage which shows her in the Southfield Road area of Middlesbrough at 7.02am on the morning of 31st May 2002.  She was 19 years old at that time.

After her family and friends reported her missing, police inquiries began - with numerous press appeals from police and Rachel’s family over the years.

Following the discovery of her remains near Coulby Newham on 27th June 2012 a murder investigation was launched, with a dedicated team of officers who continue to investigate what happened to Rachel.

A man was arrested in June 2014 and in February this year on suspicion of Rachel’s murder.  He remains on police bail while inquiries continue.
