Detective Joins Force to Tackle Crime in her Childhood Stomping Ground

A Superintendent has returned to her childhood stomping ground to help safeguard victims and bring offenders to justice.

Experienced Detective Lisa Theaker has joined Cleveland Police after eighteen years at Northumbria Police where she had experience in neighbourhood policing, firearms and specialist crime. Her last role in the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team saw her as the Senior Investigating Officer for some of the region’s most horrific cases.

Lisa hails from Teesside and wanted to transfer to Cleveland to make a difference in the community where she grew-up.

Detective Superintendent Theaker, who lives in the Cleveland area with her police officer husband Steve, said:  “I take a no-nonsense approach to tackling crime so that we ensure that people are brought to justice and victims are supported.

“I am pleased to be working on Teesside, it is an interesting and challenging area to police and I am already impressed by the strong partnership networks. Having been brought-up in the area I have a real passion for Cleveland and want to play a part in improving the lives of local residents.”
