Appeal for Information Following Burglary in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information following a house burglary in Middlesbrough.

It was reported that an unknown man entered into an elderly victim’s address on Lime Road, Middlesbrough at around 3:50pm on Thursday 18 July and asked if she would like to purchase any of the household items he was selling. The man left the property and took around £40 from the victim’s purse, after she refused to purchase any items.

He was described as being very tall and having a round face. He was also said to be wearing black trousers and a baseball cap.
